Rosethorn laughed."How are you doing?" The she-cat asked, looking at Specklestripe and smiled, her pretty pelt shining in the sunshine.

Specklestripe smiled back at Rosethorn. 'Pretty good thank you, how about you?' He was having a good day, the hunting was good and he wasn't having any of his annoying flashbacks. Flashbacks were probably the only things he was truely afraid of, they frightened him and made him feel like a lost kit.

"Fine." She answered. She looked curiously at Specklestripe. "You seem to be having a good day." She meowed happily.

Specklestripe smiled. 'Is it that obvious?' he chuckled. 'Yes, I'm doing good today. The prey is out and that always improves my days.' He yawned and glanced up at the sky.

Lioneyes smiled. "Yes, a good catch usually brightens my day also." He mewed. His amber eyes searched the tom thouroly. "Yes, now that I really look at you I can see your happiness. It sort of shines through your eyes." The orange tom added and shook his pelt.

Specklestripe smiled and looked down at his paws. He knew that he hadn't told the whole truth, he had only told part of why he was so happy that day, he didn't like keeping secrets but he didn't want to say anything about this one of his. He wondered if any of the other cats had secrets, he rather hoped that he wasn't the only one who had a secret.

Rosethorn looked at Specklestripe. She could tell that he was kind of uncomfortable about this subject, so she changed it. "The weather is wonderful this time of ?leaf-fall?, isnt it?" She asked. ((What is it? Leaf-fall, New-leaf? lol ))

[{no idea. xD}]
Specklestripe nodded. 'Yes is is nice.' he sniffed the air, enjoying the smells. Then his nose caught a new smell, one that he hadn't really noticed before. It was sweet and pleasant, what was it. Opening his eyes he looked curiously around and then blushed under his tan fur as he realized that it was Rosethorn. He looked down at his paws and scuffed them on the ground, embarrased.

The pretty she-cat noticed Specklestripe's glance in her direction and saw him blush. She lowered her head and her whiskers quivered.
Lioneyes saw the embarrasment between the two cats. He wondered what it was but ignored it and began another conversation. "The fresh-kill pile sure will grow once we dump these piles in!" The orange tom shared one of his once-every-moon jokes.

Specklestripe chuckled. 'Yup.' He wasn't much of a talker, and he especially felt it now. 'We've done a good piece of hunting today, and I'm sure our clan won't suffer because of it.' He smiled, pleased with his being able to think of and say so much at once. He rarely talked very much, he just wasn't the type of cat that had the nack of thinking of things to say.

Rosethorn giggled, her face lighting up. Usually her father was not one to tell jokes, and she was glad he shared it with them now.
Lioneyes watched the two chuckle. He was glad he had broken the uncomfortable moment between them and wondered what it was that had made them so embarissed.

Specklestripe smiled and looked down at his paws again, trying to conjure something up to say. Weather? Already talked about it. Hunting? Same thing, already talked about it. Hmm... he shifted uncomfortably, wishing that he was the type that could come up with things to say easily. 'Do you guys like to swim?' he finally asked, curious but at the same time chastising himself. That's a real conversation starter. Had be been alone he would have rolled his eyes at himself.

"Oh, I love to swim!" Rosethorn exclaimed. "It is so fun!" She smiled again and licked her front paw.

Specklestripe smiled brightly. Another water lover. 'That's cool! I love water. Always have, me and Sno...' Specklestripe halted, realizing that he had almost given it away, his secret that he had buried and he had though that he had forgotten. He felt dizzy as he sat there. First there were two Rosethorns, then two Lioneyes, then two both then a thousand, then one of each. Everything looked strange, as if he were underwater, and that's how he felt, he was being suffucated by his secret. Things seemed to be growing dim, now what?

"Specklestripe? Are you okay?" Said Lioneyes, instantly worried. He had seen the look on the tom's face and heard him falter. "Do you want me to go get the medicine cat?" The orange tom asked, looking deep into the other cat's eyes and trying to help him focus, hoping desperately he wasn't making whatever it was worse.
