Longbelly walked into the warriors den. Ahhhhh, He thought as he sunk down into his cozy nest, after a long day of hunting and patrolling. He licked his furry black paw and drew it over his ear. Time for a bath...

A black tom who had gray belly slipped into the den with a chaffinch in his mouth. Nightsong nodded to Longbelly with a smile. He sat down in his little nest and proceeded to pull the feathers out of the bird. 'Good hunting?' he asked. He had been hunting that day also, and he had had some little trouble with the prey.

Longbelly smiled. "Yeah, today was a good hunting day for me. What about you?"

Nightsong shrugged. 'It was alright, the prey really didn't seem to want to be caught today.' he grinned a little. 'Fancy that.' He bit into the finch hungrily and closed his eyes as the savory taste filled his mouth. Mmm. I think this is one of the best chaffinches I've even for a while.

A sleeping brown striped ball in the back of the den started to stir. A very grumpy Lostheart started to uncurl and stepped out of her nest. Stretching for a moment, she blindly stumble across her next as her eyes were only half-open. "Hi," she grunted sleepily.

Nightsong hid a grin. 'Hello Lostheart. How are we feeling this morning?' He flicked his tail in amusement. 'Why don't you open your eyes before you walk? You're going to hurt yourself.' He said this with a grin, but his voice was a little on the worried side. He didn't want anyone getting hurt.

Longbelly grinned. "Hey, Lostheart. Sleep well?" The black and white tom purred, shaking his furry pelt to get the rest of the grass and leaves out of it.
